Pizza Dough
Your Grounds for Coffee Pizza Dough is perfect for making homemade pizza with all your fave toppings. You can divide dough in half for two smaller pies or one large pizza pie. Dough will be fresh for 48 hours as long as it is kept in the fridge. To begin you will need a metal sheet pan(s), flour, pizza sauce, cheese, and your favourite toppings.
Step one
Preheat oven to 475°F
Step two
Sprinkle flour onto your clean work surface. Flip your dough container upside down and gently coax it onto surface. Coat with more flour and stretch and shape the dough from the center out to form a round flat disc. *TIP – can use hands alone or a rolling pin.*
Step three
Once the dough is the desired shape and thickness you want, carefully place it directly on a floured baking tray or in a preheated cast-iron pan *TIP – you may dock the dough to prevent air bubbles or uneven edges. Use a fork or pastry docker.*
Step four
Once the oven is ready spread pizza sauce on pie, sprinkle with cheese and then top with your favourite toppings. *TIP – if you are feeling like a gourmet, try lightly drizzling some olive oil or truffle oil over top of pie, it’s delicious.*
Step five
Bake for 12-15 minutes (all ovens are different) on the bottom oven rack. Cheese should be bubbly and crust golden brown when done *TIP – feel free to add fresh herbs like basil or oregano to baked pizza to add pizzazz.*
